What is the LMPC Certificate?
Under the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011, it is mandatory to obtain an LMPC registration before importing or manufacturing pre-packaged commodities in India. This registration ensures that specific mandatory declarations (like MRP, net weight, expiry date, manufacturer details) are correctly printed on the product packaging, protecting consumer rights.
