Proactive Filing FAQs
What if I had zero production or business?
A 'NIL Return' is mandatory even if business was zero. Delay still attracts the ₹100/day fine.
Can I file one return for multiple licenses?
No. Each license is treated separately. You must file individual returns for each license held.
Can I revise a return after it is submitted?
Currently, FSSAI does not allow revisions. Ensuring data accuracy during first fill is critical.
Who is EXEMPT?
The following ARE NOT required to file annual returns:
- Restaurants & Hotels
- Retailers & Wholesalers
- Distributors & Transporters
- All Basic Registration Holders
